Love is hard. Staying in love when your partner is on a drug-induced spiral of depression and self-loathing is even harder - as shown in the new musical love story ALBERT & ALICE. Albert & Alice are two crazy kids in love. Alice has given up a comfortable life in the suburbs, much to the dismay of her sister and brother-in-law, to be with Albert, a wannabe musician who makes ends meet by working as a taxi driver for one of the lesser quality cab companies in New York City. However his temper and attitude over what he perceives as slights by his boss get him into trouble time and time again. Disgusted with his life and feeling himself going nowhere, Albert turns to drugs to ease the pain - something
which quickly threatens to cost him everything he holds dear, including Alice. However as events play out, three mysterious entities arrive on the scene. Exactly who they and what they want are unclear. Are they angels trying to steer Albert on the path to righteousness, devils wanting to drag him further into the abyss or a combination of both? And are they real or only products of Albert's unsettled mind, figures which only he can see? Whatever the answer, they appear to hold the key to Albert's final destruction or ultimate redemption.

*Biography of Andrew McCann
Andrew was a gifted teenager in the UK in the late 70s. He was a member of the rock groups, "Life" and "Tin Biscuit", both of whom had Top 40 singles and albums in Europe. Andrew went on to tour and performed on albums for top Rock acts including The Kinks, Peter Frampton and Uriah Heep. Andrew then moved to NYC, where he played Jazz and obtained a Masters Degree in Musical Composition. He has composed 3 string quartets and a symphony, all of which have been performed. His latest offering is the musical play "Albert and Alice", which is based upon Andrew's early experiences (real or imagined) living on Manhattan's Lower East Side. During this time Andrew underwent a mystical awakening that included his becoming aware of telepathic powers, automatic writing, speaking in different tongues, and befriending his own archangel.
Currently, he is a Musical Director and Co-Composer, with Sony Music recording artist Shalaine Adams. Andrew is also producing and composing a dance CD with Saturday Night Fever star Karen Lynn Gorney.
