Amnesia Wars: Live at the Parkside initiates Amnesia Wars’ busy spring ’02 season, which will include various appearances around NYC, performances at The Chicago Improv Festival www.cif.com in April, and May’s Twenty Four Hour Improv Show in which the AW company members will test whatever’s left of their sanity by improvising live for twenty four hours straight!
Amnesia Wars Productions began as a purely scriptless theater company in 1997, and began performing “straight” theater last year with Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, adapted by Artistic Director Rob Reese. In addition to New York and other U.S. appearances, Amnesia Wars has performed and taught at festivals in Amsterdam and most recently in an arts festival and subsequent tour in Zimbabwe.
“Somebody's eventually going to discover just how brilliant these guys are and put them on TV or in the movies, so we should appreciate them while they're still working for free on Houston Street.”
